Emulations simulate printer languages from other manufacturers. Thereby commands are converted to generate similar printouts.
One main advantage of the MICROPLEX controller is to provide these printer languages across all print technologies. So processing, for example, thermal printer data streams like ZPL II – usually only possible with a fitting thermal printer – is possible with a MICROPLEX laser printer without any problems.
MICROPLEX´s printer language IDOL provides the basis for the implementation. MICROPLEX IDOL has been developed as one of the first printer languages in the world.
Cab printer language now also available for Microplex printers
Driven by requests from the market, the Microplex development team have now developed the Cab emulation. This allows a Microplex printer to utilize the Cab printer language so that for example a two-color GHS standard label can now be printed in an eight inch format.
The Cab emulation is available as an option to the standard emulations already available (IDOL, PCL5c, ZPLll, Datamax, Epson FX80, etc.)

The printers do not provide all emulations and barcodes by default. Please look at the data sheets to find the individual standard features.
